Some of the Fisk team pulled their boots on for the third annual Uptick charity football tournament, bringing together colleagues across the business, from directors and managers to engineers and apprentices.

This year, we had something to celebrate. Sporting a brand-new kit and giving some of our younger players a place in the line-up, the team found its stride. We won a few games and battled our way through to the quarter-finals, a result we’re really pleased with and something to build on for next year.

The day was all in aid of two great charities:

• Alzheimer’s Society supports people living with dementia and their families.
• Children’s Burns Trust supports children and young people affected by burns and works to prevent burn injuries.

A big thank you to Kyle Jones and everyone at Uptick for the invite and for organising another brilliant event. It was a great day of football, friendly competition and fundraising for two important causes.

We’re already looking forward to next year. See you all there!
